Synergistic Analytics: Turbo-Charging Consumer Analytics (Part 2)
Taught by Dr. Daniel Ennis and William Russ
Abstract:
In Part 2 of our Synergistic Analytics webinar series, we discuss synergies achieved when we combine the capabilities of linear programming with new advances in Total Unduplicated Reach and Frequency Analysis (TURF) and graph theory. Following an introduction to graph theory and TURF we show how linear programming can be used to solve problems with constraints, and we apply the algorithms to practical projects. These projects include applications of advances in faster algorithms, not available even 5 years ago. The need for this analytic power derives from an explosion in the number of combinations of items that can develop when even a small number of categories each with multiple items are combined. We apply this analytic power to a problem in defining a unique optimum pizza menu and in the design of bundles of flavors, benefits, and concepts for a fruit juice product line from an astronomical number of possible combinations.
