Dr. Zachary Schendel – Biography

Dr. Zachary (Zach) Schendel is Director of UX Research at Netflix, having been with the company for over four years. He leads the team tasked with product innovations for Netflix’s platforms, including mobile, web, TV, and tablet UIs, search and algorithms, as well as the KiDS experience. After receiving his PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Ohio State, Zach has led insights work across all 5 senses for billion-dollar brands, from touch (lotion skinfeel) and audition (music cognition), to olfaction (fragrance), vision (movies), and taste (heart-healthy meals).
