Lauren Aronson is an Advertising & Product Risk Management counsel in Crowell & Moring’s Washington, D.C. office. Lauren represents clients across a variety of industries in advertising and marketing law. She has assisted numerous clients in initiating and defending false advertising challenges before the NAD, the NARB, and the Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation program (ERSP), and has provided counsel in Lanham Act suits. Lauren has also represented clients in investigations and actions brought by the FTC and state attorneys general relating to marketing and sales practices.
In addition to handling litigation-related matters, Lauren advises clients regarding the development, substantiation, approval, and defense of advertising claims. When additional support is necessary to support desired claims, Lauren works with her clients to develop the needed substantiation. She counsels clients on a range of advertising-related issues, including social media, native advertising, telemarketing, rebates, warranties, right of privacy and publicity, and endorsements.
Prior to joining Crowell, Lauren was a counsel in the nationally recognized Advertising, Marketing & Media division at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips.
